(Patria) - A tornado developed over Ilirska Bistrica tonight, according to media from Slovenia.
You can see a relatively wide vortex within which there are also very strong, but small vortices, only a few meters in diameter. Fortunately, the phenomenon lasted only a few minutes, according to meteorologists from Slovenia. Numerous interventions in the last hour in the area of Ilirska Bistrica indicate considerable damage, reported Slovenian meteorologists. See how it all looked in the video:
Will the storm hit BiH?
Tonight, a weakened cold front is expected, bringing increased cloudiness, a temporary northerly wind, and refreshment, mainly in the northern parts of the country. However, unlike Slovenia and parts of Croatia, severe storms are not expected here this time.
So there is no reason for concern. Locally, there may be a gust of rain or a shower with thunderstorms, but little more than that.
Tomorrow (02.08.) will be a slightly cooler day than today due to the front. On Thursday and Friday, the heat returns with a southerly wind, and this is a prelude to a significant change in weather expected from Friday to Saturday, when locally stronger storms are threatened with more dynamic weather characteristics, which will be discussed. On Saturday, a noticeable refreshment and such a sharp drop in temperature will be accompanied by more turbulent processes, reports BHemeteo.ba.
