US President Joe Biden declared a state of major disaster in Kentucky after a series of devastating tornadoes hit the state.
The decision was requested by Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear. Biden received the request and approved it immediately, an administration official said.
Beshear said these were the most devastating tornadoes in the state's history, as even the strongest buildings were destroyed.
We remind you that as many as 24 tornadoes were recorded on Friday night into Saturday over five US states, and the number of victims is not yet officially known. The figure of over 80 people is mentioned.
