'Think Freedom' art project from BiH presented in Brussels before hundreds of people

BRUSSELS, (Patria) - Renowned Bosnian-American artist Edina Selesković opened the exhibition Think Freedom on Friday, October 5, 2018, in the capital of the European Union and the heart of the old continent. Hundreds of visitors watched with undisguised enthusiasm and interest the metal installation of stylized birds in motion, a symbol of freedom without borders. Selesković says that with this work she sends an essential message of peace and a brighter future from Sarajevo and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Think Freedom in Brussels was opened at the renowned Belgian BOZAR Centre for Fine Arts, as part of the Accessible Art Fair project, which brings together successful artists from all over the world. Accessible Art Fair, which was declared one of the top 5 art fairs in the world this year, has created a unique platform for artists, connecting them with a global audience.

The Think Freedom installation had its premiere at the Sarajevo City Hall in 2015, and since then it has been exhibited in 8 cities in the region. Composed of a thousand elements, the sculpture of freedom connects art with the audience, creating a unique artistic platform. In each host city, Edina collaborates with young people who send her their thoughts on Freedom, and with students who, in collaboration with Edina, design the installation's setup, each time unique to that particular city.

After Brussels, Think Freedom continues its journey through Europe, Asia, and Australia, with the final exhibition featuring messages from young people from all host cities to be held in New York in 2021.
