
(Patria) - Residents of Chernihiv in northern Ukraine have been told to stay in shelters after the city came under Russian attack.
“The enemy shelled the center of Chernihiv. Probably a ballistic missile. Stay in shelters. Details will be released later,” said the regional governor Vyacheslav Chaus on Telegram.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, who is in Sweden for talks, shared a video of the destruction in the northern city. It was reported that five people were killed and 37 were injured in the attack. Among the injured are 11 children.
Among the buildings damaged in the attack earlier this morning were a university building and a theater.
