Aunt of murdered Nizama Hećimović: She was with me for seven days, on the eighth day someone revealed her location

(Patria) - Nizama Hećimović, who was kidnapped, beaten, and then killed by her ex-husband, was hiding from the abuser at her aunt Zijada's place, but the killer found her. Zijada Vuković Pamuković, the aunt of the murdered woman, told Blic that Nizama had been with her for seven days with her child before the killer and abuser Nermin Sulejmanović found her.

“She was with me for seven days, on the eighth day they gave away the location, on the eighth day he found out where she was hiding,” said the woman, who claims only the police knew the place where Nizama was hiding.

“Nizama complained that she had problems, which is why she fled to me with her child from that abuser,” said the devastated aunt of the tragically deceased woman to Blic.

Regarding the day of the crime when the killer came to the door, Zijada said: “When he found out that Nizama was with us, he came to the door. First, he threatened me with a gun, then he kicked my son out. Then he took the child and dragged her away, and then started shooting at us. He wounded my son Nedim. I then called the police, who arrived after 20 minutes, even though our house is only one kilometer away.”

She added that the family has a document in which Nizama was denied protection when she reported Nermin for violence, and she did so for the last time four days prior.

“If the police and judiciary had reacted promptly, this terrible tragedy that has plunged us into darkness could have been prevented, and Nizama would now be enjoying time with her daughter,” said Zijada Vuković Pamuković.
