Teslić: UNICEF helps vulnerable displaced persons and returnees in BiH

A two-day conference organized by UNICEF concluded today in Teslić with the aim of presenting the results achieved so far in the field of social protection and inclusion within the project "Support for durable solutions to the Revised Strategy for the implementation of Annex VII of the Dayton Peace Agreement", reports the Patria News Agency.

The project is financed by the European Union in the amount of 7 million euros, while UNHCR, the leading agency in the implementation of the project, has secured funds in the amount of 1.1 million euros. Social protection and inclusion is one of the components of the project, and it is implemented by UNICEF.

In close cooperation with local authorities, the local community, civil society and other partners, as well as the Ministry of Human Rights and Refugees of Bosnia and Herzegovina, this project helps vulnerable displaced persons and returnees in BiH by strengthening their social protection and inclusion, enabling healthcare for the elderly and education for children, and providing free legal aid, psycho-social counseling and housing conditions.
