Grave accusations from Pristina: Vučić participated in an attempted annexation of northern Kosovo

(Patria) - Kosovo's Minister of Internal Affairs, Xhelal Sveçla, accused Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić, Minister of Defence Miloš Vučević, and Chief of the General Staff of the Serbian Army Milan Mojsilović of participating in an attempted "annexation of northern Kosovo".

Sveçla stated, among other things, that drone footage and collected evidence show that "preparations for the attack in Banjska were carried out in Serbia, in training centers," Koha reports.

- Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić, Serbian Minister of Defence Miloš Vučević, and Chief of General Staff Milan Mojsilović participated in this training. Vučić tried to hide the fact that Serbia was involved in organizing this attack - Sveçla said.

According to him, the training took place in Kopaonik, on property owned by Milan Radoičić.

He also added that intelligence reports indicate that there were several fatalities in Banjska, and that the operation is ongoing and will be announced when other bodies are found.

Sveçla also emphasized that they have appealed to the international community not only to condemn Serbia but also to sanction it, and that extradition proceedings will be initiated not only for Radoičić but also for others through international partners.

The Director General of the Kosovo Police, Gazmend Hoxha, also stated that the investigation has shown that the terrorist group that attacked the Kosovo Police in Banjska on September 24 had been training for a long time in Serbian territory, including, according to him, at a military training ground in Pasuljanske livade.

He emphasizes that Serbia provided the group with logistics and infrastructure for training.

- Based on the provided data, it appears that the center of the terrorist group was in Kopaonik, specifically in premises owned by Milan Radoičić.

Military exercises were held at one of the largest military training grounds in Serbia, at least four days before the attack on Banjska - Hoxha said at a press conference.

Describing the events in Banjska, he stated that a police patrol went to see what was happening with the trucks in the village, and an explosion occurred.

- The first attack was carried out with explosives, and as a result of the attack, police sergeant Afrim Bunjaku from the Zvečan police station was killed. It was not the special police who were attacked, but a public order police patrol - Hoxha said.

He showed the media photographs of various weapons seized in Banjska, Zvečan.

- Their goal was not only to capture the village of Banjska or to kill a police officer, but the plan was to annex the entire northern part of Kosovo. The documents we have, which we cannot publish, show a plan of attack with 37 positions across the north - Hoxha added.

Sveçla also said that there is a request for the use of special units to be more reserved, but not for them to be completely withdrawn from the north.

- There have been public requests for the use of special units to be more reserved, to be engaged only in cases where it is assessed that there is a need for them.

There have never been requests for the police to withdraw from the north of Kosovo. We would not accept such a request.

There has been a reduction in police forces in and around municipal buildings. In this case as well, the need for an increased presence of special units has been proven, due to their readiness or the more specialized equipment they have - he added.
