Terzić: It's easier to fool the poor with imaginary billions than with real investments

Political analyst Almir Terzić commented on the laying of the foundation stone for the construction of the Buroj Ozone settlement in the municipality of Trnovo, announced for tomorrow, September 19, reports the Patria News Agency.

- The laying of the foundation stone for the construction of an "entire city" on Bjelašnica is announced for Monday. I don't care who is building it, nor that they are Arabs or whoever else, I care about something much more important: Is there an assessment that this will not cause pollution of the water sources for Sarajevo, and who will take responsibility if the water, which is already scarce, becomes completely unusable, and it is already of questionable quality after the construction of the apartment complex on Bjelašnica?

No investment can be more valuable than what we pride ourselves on - water. Are we ready to give up everything for petty profit? And who will be responsible for the destruction of the stećci necropolis on Bjelašnica? Or are we no longer interested in world cultural heritage?

And what about the fact that damage to cultural heritage is a criminal offense? Or do we not care about that because we are supposedly smiling at some billions in the next ten years and who knows how many more.

It's easier to fool the poor with imaginary billions than with real hundreds of thousands of investments. We give up water and cultural heritage just to see a billion, even if it's fictional on paper. We deserve the worst, Terzić states.
