Terrorists Attack Damascus: Five Killed and 37 Wounded in Rocket Attack

Five people were killed and 37 wounded on Saturday in Damascus in a rocket attack from an area under rebel control around Damascus, reported the official Sana agency, as carried by the Patria news agency.

The agency reported that 5 people were killed and 37 wounded in a terrorist rocket attack, and these figures were confirmed by the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR). In the war in Syria, more than 240,000 people have been killed in 4 years, according to new data from SOHR. The conflict began in March 2011 with the bloody repression of peaceful anti-government protests, which escalated into an armed uprising and then a bloody civil war.

The conflict involves the regime, rebels, Kurds, and jihadists fighting over an increasingly fragmented territory from which more than half of the population has fled or been displaced.
