(Patria) - Today in the American city of Baltimore, Maryland, a large bridge collapsed into the river after being struck by a ship, which then caught fire. There were cars on the bridge, which ended up in the river after the collapse.
The Maryland Transportation Authority confirmed an "incident" on the Francis Scott Key Bridge and said traffic is being diverted. The U.S. Coast Guard also confirmed the collision but provided no further details.
Footage on social media shows the bridge collapsing after being hit by a ship.
