Telekom Slovenije to enter BiH market more aggressively

Rudolf Skobe, Executive Director of Telekom Slovenije, stated that his company is considering the possibility of starting operations in Bosnia and Herzegovina, aiming to "become the number one alternative operator in BiH". The Slovenians made this decision after Telekom Slovenije's net profit increased by 17 percent.

- We expect further growth in 2014 also due to the fact that we will strengthen our presence in the region - said Skobe.

Telekom Slovenije's net profit last year increased to 52,300,000 euros, and revenues grew by 0.5 percent, to 799,200,000 euros.

Otherwise, the number of Telekom Slovenije's mobile phone subscribers increased by 5.2 percent, and for fixed-line telephony by 1.4 percent.

Although there were reports that Telekom Slovenije might buy shares of "Logosoft", according to NAP's findings, this will not happen, as the telecom operator "M:tel" from Banja Luka is in the final stages of negotiations regarding the purchase of "Logosoft".

Katarina Prešeren from Telekom Slovenije told NAP that they are already present in the BiH market, but they plan to expand in this region.

- At this moment, that is all I can say, that we plan to expand our business in the BiH market. However, we cannot yet talk about the details - said Prešeren.
