(Patria) - Zoran Tegeltija from the Alliance of Independent Social Democrats has been appointed as the candidate for the Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina at a special session of the BiH Presidency held on Tuesday. He addressed the media and the public for the first time in this capacity today.
As he said, he was waiting to receive the official decision of the BiH Presidency on his appointment.
"The Presidency has submitted the decision, and I have been informed by the Parliamentary Assembly that there will be a session of the Commission on Tuesday. On Tuesday, I will try to provide answers to the questions that will be posed by representatives of political parties. I will be ready in the first week of December to appear before the BiH Parliament and present the program as I see it, and I expect the Presidency's decision to be verified at that session," said Tegeltija, N1 reports.
When asked who the new ministers from the entity of Republika Srpska in the Council of Ministers of BiH would be, Tegeltija did not want to talk about names.
"The portfolios belonging to RS in the Council of Ministers of BiH have been known since August when representatives of political parties signed an agreement. We have three deputy positions, I know the names that have been circulating so far. But until my verification in the BiH Parliament, after which I will hold consultations, I cannot talk about names. A large number of names are being circulated, some are correct, some are not," he said.
Speaking about the plan, Tegeltija said that he has the vision of his program in his head.
"The focus of my interest will be the economy, the economy, and only the economy. Accelerated economic development can solve a large number of problems in BiH. The focus of the Council of Ministers of BiH will be the economy," he stated.
As he said, he will do everything to establish full coordination and cooperation with entity prime ministers Fadil Novalić and Radovan Višković.
"I think that on economic issues, it is difficult to have any blockades or disagreements. We will strive for the Council of Ministers of BiH not to be a place where political issues will clash. All parties have previously expressed agreement with the proposed solutions, and I think they will be respected until the end," he said.
