(Patria) - At the session of the House of Representatives of the BiH Parliament, the Chairman of the Council of Ministers Zoran Tegeltija, responding to a parliamentary question regarding the provision of funds for holding elections, stated that the Draft Budget for 2020 will be before the Council of Ministers of BiH next week.
"Our plan was to send the Budget into procedure by the end of May, but it was postponed because there were various requests from budget users. Next week, the Budget for 2020 will be on the agenda of the Council of Ministers, and within it, funds for the local elections will also be planned. We are not the only country that does not have a Budget at the beginning of the year. I hope this will be the last year we do not have a Budget at the beginning of the year," said Tegeltija.
The Prime Minister of BiH stated that holding elections will not be jeopardized.
Jasmin Emrić stated that there is suspicion that the ruling parties are intentionally doing this.
"We all have the right to suspect the good intentions of those who draft the Budget. I call on the Council of Ministers to submit the budget proposal to the representatives as soon as possible, because the citizens of BiH expect the elections to be held," said Emrić.
