World Bank to film a video about the successes of the Tešanj municipality

The World Bank has rated the Tešanj municipality as one of the most successful in BiH, and on that occasion, it will film a video aimed at presenting the results of municipalities, among them the example of Tešanj, which have done the most to improve conditions for attracting new investments, reports the Bosnian news agency Patria.

- The project to improve the business environment in Bosnia and Herzegovina, implemented by the IFC - part of the World Bank Group, is preparing a video in which it wants to present the results and municipalities that have done the most to improve the investment climate and create conditions for attracting new investors. Field results show that the Tešanj municipality is one of the most successful in BiH, and we would be extremely pleased if you would respond to our invitation and participate in the mentioned video with your statement. Our experience working with you is extremely positive, and the results we have achieved in the Tešanj municipality are truly noted by the business community - states, among other things, the letter addressed to the Mayor of Tešanj municipality, Suad Huskić.

In the last two years, Tešanj has increased the number of newly opened jobs by nearly 15% to 1,312. In the last four years, exports from this municipality have grown by almost 90% to about 350 million KM. There are 2,255 business entities operating in the municipality, and as many as 23 of the largest companies with majority private capital whose headquarters are in Tešanj are among the 100 largest in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

- These indicators are primarily the result of continuity in the work of all of us in Tešanj. Investments did not come on their own. Citizens, administration, employers, all together we have worked diligently to create conditions in which it is possible to be successful. An excellent job has been done over the past 20 years. In conditions of a free market, Bosnian, European, and global companies operate positively in Tešanj. In the next 20 years, I see Tešanj as an important economic center that will attract even more domestic and foreign capital. Because investors love partners for the future, success stories, stable conditions, and simple solutions. We have that in Tešanj - said on that occasion the Mayor of Tešanj municipality, Suad Huskić.

The FDI magazine, a service for monitoring foreign direct investments of the reputable Financial Times, included Tešanj together with Žepče and Teslić (BEAR region) among the 10 best regions for investment in Southeast Europe for the period 2014/2015. The municipality is also the winner of the prestigious BEACON award - at the BiH level, where Tešanj, competing against all municipalities, won in the category of creating a business environment and attracting investments. Additionally, Poslovne novine awarded a special recognition to a government body for the first time in 2014 as a special category, and the recognition was given to the Tešanj municipality. Likewise, Tešanj, Teslić, and Žepče are winners of a special recognition for the promotion of entrepreneurship at the level of Southeast Europe through the project Creators for the Century.
