
SARAJevo, (Patria) - Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BiH Zoran Tegeltija informed the Prime Ministers of Republika Srpska Radovan Višković and Federation of BiH Fadil Novalić today that the World Bank has expressed readiness to financially assist BiH in preventing, detecting, and mitigating the consequences of the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak.
The financial funds in the amount of $20 million would be operational for supporting disease surveillance, strengthening public health interventions, and working with the private sector to reduce the impact on the economy, and would include, among other things, the procurement of testing equipment, hospital equipment, construction of emergency medical facilities, emergency food aid, etc.
The Chairman of the Council of Ministers expressed gratitude to the World Bank for its expressed readiness to once again provide support and assistance to Bosnia and Herzegovina.
