(Patria) – The Executive Board of the World Bank has approved a fund of 12 billion dollars for developing countries to finance the procurement and distribution of Covid-19 vaccine, tests, and therapies for the population.
This financial plan is part of an overall program of 160 billion dollars in resources that the World Bank has directed to developing countries to combat the pandemic.
The World Bank says the financing program will include technical support to these countries to prepare a comprehensive vaccination program, which will signal mass demand for vaccines to pharmaceutical companies, as well as available funds for their production.
