All arrested in "Black Tie 2" operation handed over to the jurisdiction of the BiH Prosecutor's Office

(Patria) - All suspects arrested in the "Black Tie 2" operation were handed over to the jurisdiction of the BiH Prosecutor's Office in the afternoon.

The BiH Prosecutor's Office announced this morning that the acting prosecutor, in coordination with police agencies, will question the suspects within the legal deadline.

After that, a decision will be made on the proposal for detention or prohibition measures for the suspects, which will be submitted to the Court of BiH.

We remind you that police officers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Sarajevo Canton, under the supervision of a prosecutor from the BiH Prosecutor's Office, in cooperation with SIPA and the BiH Intelligence-Security Agency, carried out an operation codenamed "Black Tie 2" yesterday.

As part of the operation, evidence was collected from encrypted applications, and agencies FBI, DEA, and Europol provided international support in the ongoing activities.

Searches of residential buildings, motor vehicles, and business premises were carried out at more than 30 locations in the Sarajevo Canton. A significant amount of items of interest, as requested by the Court of BiH Order, were found and seized.

A total of 23 people were arrested, including the head of FUP Vahidin Munjić, the head of the FUP Special Police Unit Mustafa Selmanović, businessman Gordan Memija, director of the Zenica Cantonal Hospital Tarik Zulović, and hospital management employee Aida Halać.

These activities are being carried out by order of the Court of BiH and under the supervision of the BiH Prosecutor's Office, due to the existence of grounds for suspicion that criminal offenses of "Organized Crime", in connection with criminal offenses of "Money Laundering", "Unauthorized Trafficking of Narcotic Drugs", and "Receiving Gifts and Other Benefits" and "Abuse of Official Position or Authority" have been committed, as prescribed by the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
