Everyone to Goražde: Concert tonight for children with cancer

A humanitarian concert for children suffering from cancer will be held tonight at the Goražde Cultural Center. The concert is only part of the activities organized by the Association "Heart for Children suffering from Cancer in the Federation of BiH" on the occasion of the International Day of Children with Cancer, writes Patria.

Cancer is the leading cause of non-communicable disease-related child mortality. In Bosnia and Herzegovina, 50 to 60 children fall ill annually. The majority of these children are successfully cured of the deadly disease, most often thanks to the expertise of BiH doctors, whose knowledge can often match that of doctors at major world clinics.

This year, Sarajevo is also hosting a regional convention for young people cured of cancer, and on April 26, a Parents' House will open in the city, where parents and their sick children can stay during treatment to be as close to doctors as possible, especially parents and children who are not from Sarajevo. The Sarajevo Parents' House will be one of the best in Europe, writes Patria.
