All Suspects Apprehended, Prosecutor's Office of BiH Requests Detention

In the morning hours, suspect Ejub Kučuk (owner of MITA Group agencies), who was abroad during the implementation of the operation „Gibraltar“, contacted the judiciary and police and surrendered to SIPA police officers, announced the Prosecutor's Office of BiH, reports the Bosnian news agency Patria.

After the surrender, upon the order of the prosecutor from the Special Department for Organized Crime, Economic Crime and Corruption, a search of his apartment and work premises was carried out, after which he will be handed over to the acting prosecutor.

The prosecutor and his team worked intensively over the past 24 hours and questioned all suspects who were deprived of liberty. The prosecutor will, within the legal deadline, submit a proposal to the Court of BiH for ordering detention for all suspects in this case.

Detention will be requested for the reasons described in Article 132 of the Criminal Procedure Code of BiH, and among other things, it will be requested due to the risk that the suspects, if at large, could obstruct the investigation, conceal evidence, or influence witnesses or accomplices.

- The Prosecutor's Office of BiH hereby thanks all police officers from SIPA and entity police agencies who participated in the implementation of this operation, as well as colleagues from Slovenia, Austria and Croatia who provided international legal assistance in this case. The Prosecutor's Office of BiH continues the investigation towards filing an indictment against persons responsible for abuses and financial malversations in multi-million amounts, for which the budget and citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina have been damaged - announced the Prosecutor's Office of BiH.

We remind you that in the extensive operation carried out yesterday at several locations in BiH, several persons and owners of marketing agencies, as well as persons connected to the company HT Eronet, were apprehended.

Those arrested are: Sanjin Kulenović, Neven Kulenović, Belma Kulenović (agency S.V.R.S.A.), Lajlu Torlak (PINK BH), Darko Aleksić (co-owner of ATV), Stipe Prlić and Zoran Bakula (former heads of Eronet), Senad Zaimović (agency Fabrika).

As announced, these individuals, through off-shore companies, extracted money from BiH and damaged the state for more than 5 million euros, writes Patria.
