Sweden: Terrorist had racist motive

A masked young man who killed a teacher and a boy at a school in Sweden and wounded two others had a racist motive, the Swedish police announced, reports the news agency Patria.

Sweden is shocked by the attack in which twenty-one-year-old Anton Lundin Peterson attacked teachers and students with a cold weapon at a school in Trollhättan. This city has about 50,000 inhabitants, many of whom are immigrants.

The police wounded the attacker, a young man in his twenties, during the intervention, and he later died of his wounds in the hospital. He had no criminal record.

- We are convinced that the attacker had a racist motive, said police chief Niklas Halgren to state radio.

He added that this conclusion was reached after searching the attacker's apartment and based on his behavior during the incident, i.e., based on the choice of victims.
