More and more drivers under the influence of drugs, a danger to other road users

Police officers of the Support Unit of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Sarajevo Canton, in Rustempašina Street, Ilidža municipality, stopped and controlled a passenger motor vehicle of the brand "Peugeot 406", driven by driver B.N., born in 1992 in Sarajevo, where he resides. During the search, one packet with a substance resembling an illegal drug and one packet with a substance resembling marijuana were found and confiscated from him, reports the BH News Agency Patria.

Due to the existence of grounds for suspicion that he committed the criminal offense of possession and enabling the use of narcotic drugs, B.N. was deprived of his liberty and handed over to the Department for Detention of Detained Persons of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Sarajevo Canton.

The prosecutor of the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office in Sarajevo was informed, and legal measures will be taken against the said person.

Otherwise, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Sarajevo Canton increasingly finds drivers under the influence of drugs or finds drugs in their possession during regular checks.
