All referees at the World Cup in Russia will wear football boots made in BiH

DERVENTA, (Patria) - The shoe factory Sanino from Derventa has shipped 336 pairs of football boots to the headquarters of the World Football Organization (FIFA) that will be worn by all referees at the upcoming World Cup in Russia.

Thanks to this, Bosnia and Herzegovina will still be represented at this major football event. 

Derventa's sports footwear manufacturers work for well-known global brands. They have supplied Adidas with over ten million pairs of football boots to date, thus proving themselves to be the most reliable supplier for the European market.

Sanino employs around 1,000 workers in Derventa and Prnjavor, with an annual production of one million and 650,000 pairs of various footwear. According to the mayor Milorad Simić, it is an honor for Derventa to have such a successful factory located in this city. 

The supply of sports equipment manufactured in Bosnia and Herzegovina for world and European championships, especially in football, has a tradition.

A great success was achieved back in 1982 by the sports clothing factory Sport Form from Fojnica, whose gloves were worn by goalkeepers of almost all national teams at the World Football Championship in Spain. That championship is also remembered for the brilliant saves by goalkeepers, even from penalty shots.
