Everything ready for 'Skok u Kazan', defending champion is Dino Bajrić from Sarajevo

(Patria) - Everything is ready for "Skok u Kazan", the XXI International Extreme Diving Competition, which will be held tomorrow at the main city beach in Konjic, starting at 4 PM.

"On Saturday, 18 divers from all over the region will try to get the best possible scores from the expert jury. We are pleased that several thousand visitors, fans of extreme diving into the Neretva River, will gather at Stari Pazar beach in Konjic," said the organizers.

The dives are performed from a height of 18 meters into the Neretva River at a place called Kazan. Kazan is 2x2 meters in size and 2 meters deep, bordered by rocks at a depth of one meter, which gives the dives a special charm and raises the adrenaline of both competitors and the audience.

The event is sponsored by the Municipality of Konjic, and sponsors include the Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports, the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton Tourist Board, the Government of HNK, BH Telecom, Energy3, Eurosjaj, Garden City, Ledo, Amko, Igman…

The title of best diver is defended by Dino Bajrić from Sarajevo.

- I started from that diving board and have performed a large number of jumps so far. When I come to Konjic, I have jumped from that rock 12-13 times in one day.

I have been competing for many years, and each time it is a new experience. The hardest part will be defending the title of the best.

We are all competitors, and everyone who comes is the best in the region. If I make a small mistake, the judges see it, and that can ultimately cost me a good result - said Bajrić.
