Everything ready for the 46th International Music Festival "Student Summer"

On the occasion of the 46th International Music Festival “Student Summer“, which will be held on August 25 and 26 from 8 PM in the Sports Hall in Maglaj, a press conference was held today in Sarajevo.  

In the presence of numerous media, the mayor Mirsad Mahmutagić spoke about the image of Maglaj in these few months that he has been at the head of the Municipality and about the events that accompanied “Student Summer“ this year.  

- In these few months, I have done my best to open the doors to the economic development of Maglaj, I think we have succeeded in certain measures, given that we have attracted two foreign companies. Our municipality has good potential for tourism development, beautiful landscapes and significant cultural-historical objects, so we are working on that as well, so that as many people as possible who pass through Maglaj take the time to visit us. As for this summer, we have truly fulfilled the slogan with pride “Summer is calling you to Maglaj“ and offered a spectrum of events for everyone from the youngest to the oldest. The final festival evenings with participants from Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as the region, are ahead of us. Great singers started their careers in our city, we believe that it will continue that way - emphasized Mayor Mahmutagić.  

The music teacher Hana Čizmić, who is in charge of the musical part of the organization, also addressed the attendees, informing them in detail about it.  

- We really try to guide the participants in their song choices, we pay attention to what they will sing, what kind of music. The orchestra, which consists of true professionals, gives special weight to the final evenings, which we are delighted with - emphasized Čizmić.  

Everything is ready for the final evenings of “Student Summer“, where on August 25 (Friday), visitors can expect an Evening of Popular Music with special guest band Crvena jabuka, while August 26 is the Evening of Folk Music, and the special guest is Enes Begović.
