Everything Ready for the 10th International Children's Folklore Festival Ilidža 2019

(Patria) - The association for children and youth "Nominativ", just like in previous years, is organizing a festival that, in addition to socializing, competitions, and hosting over 600 participants, also organizes the promotion of both the city of Sarajevo and the country of Bosnia and Herzegovina. This is the largest revue-style folklore festival in Bosnia and Herzegovina, which the people at Nominativ are especially proud of.

One of the festival organizers, Adis Ćuhara, told us that everything is ready for the start of the festival and that everyone is eagerly awaiting the arrival of the first guests.

"As soon as we finished with the last festival, we started preparations for the new one. The year passed very quickly, and here we are, everything is ready for the tenth jubilee festival. Somehow, this year everything is marked by the number 10. The tenth festival, ten countries... We are happy that we will gather such a large number of participants in our city. We hope the weather will be good and that we will all enjoy ourselves during the festival," said Ćuhara.

In addition to representatives from our country, representatives from Albania, Montenegro, the Czech Republic, Greece, Latvia, Hungary, North Macedonia, Poland, Russia, Slovakia, Serbia, and Turkey are participating in the festival. It should be noted that several cultural and artistic societies are coming from some of these countries, who will present traditional dances from their own and other countries during the festival, and through various social gatherings, performances, and workshops, they will present their people, country, and culture.

Nominativ has invited all citizens of Sarajevo to attend some of the events they have prepared during the festival, to enjoy, and to get acquainted with the cultures of the countries that will be presented at the festival.
