(Patria) - Four American soldiers died during exercises in Lithuania, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte confirmed today during a visit to Warsaw.

- While I was giving a speech, news arrived about the death of four American soldiers in an incident in Lithuania - Rutte told reporters, adding that he did not know the details for now.

The US Embassy in Vilnius announced earlier today that four American soldiers went missing yesterday afternoon and that the military and police of the Baltic country, along with the US military, are searching for them.

Four American soldiers missing during training in Lithuania

(Patria) - Four US Army soldiers went missing in Lithuania during training. The military and police of the Baltic country are searching for them together with the US Army, the US Embassy in Vilnius announced today. The Embassy explained on platform X

The Embassy wrote on platform X that the soldiers went missing at a training ground near Pabradė in eastern Lithuania, near the border with Belarus.

It was announced that "soldiers from the 1st Brigade, 3rd Infantry Division were conducting planned tactical training at the time of the incident".
