Bosnia and Herzegovina's Progress Report to be presented in Brussels tomorrow

The progress report on Bosnia and Herzegovina will be presented tomorrow in Brussels, as part of the annual progress report on the Balkan countries and Turkey, the BH news agency Patria was confirmed by the European Parliament.

The progress report on BiH could be better than last year. Although it was confirmed to Patria in the EP in mid-October this year that it was only a slight progress, the Head of the EU Delegation to BiH and EU Special Representative in BiH Lars Gunnar Wigemark said that this progress could still be better than in previous years.

The progress report is based on the data submitted by candidate-potential candidate countries, Union member states, European Parliament reports, and data submitted by international and non-governmental organizations.

The European Commission publishes a progress report every year, and submits it to the Council of the EU and the European Parliament, as well as to the country concerned.

The first progress report for Bosnia and Herzegovina was published in 2005, preceded by annual reports on the Stabilization and Association Process (from 2002 to 2004) and the report on meeting the conditions (from 1997 to 2000).
