Judge Angry Because Case of 2-Year-Old Girl Raped by Stepfather Became Public

While everyone is horrified by the disgusting and repulsive crime that occurred near Bjelovar, where a two-year-old girl was raped and admitted with severe injuries that left doctors in shock, a judge at the Bjelovar court is angry at the media, reports the Patria news agency, writes Index.

Namely, we contacted Judge Dajana Barberić Valentić because she questioned the suspected stepfather who is charged with such a terrible crime, and she showed a high level of dissatisfaction with the fact that we are calling her about it.

"This is a confidential proceeding, in the interest of protecting the child, you should not be writing about it, and you can judge for yourselves whether it is for publication or not. The way it was published in our local paper, I am appalled, I don't know what to say.

It should not be published at all because it is about protecting the interests of the child; the Ombudsperson for Children should have reacted and everyone should have risen up because there is no point in publishing it like that," said Dajana Barberić Valentić.
