Meeting with Šarović: Chinese Premier Announces Permit for Food Exports from BiH

DUBROVNIK, (Patria) - Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of BiH Mirko Šarović, today in Dubrovnik, within the framework of the Eighth Meeting of Prime Ministers within the cooperation of China and 16 countries of Central and Eastern Europe, discussed key infrastructure and energy projects with a high-level delegation of the large Chinese company Gezhouba and China Energy.

Views were exchanged with the Gezhouba delegation, one of the world's leading companies for the construction of energy facilities, on the remaining steps for the realization of the Tuzla Block 7 project, and the Chinese side expressed interest in other infrastructure projects in both entities, especially for sections of Corridor 5c.

The Minister also discussed these topics with the Premier of the People's Republic of China, Li Keqiang, who emphasized the importance of, as he stated, "global and fair trade, without protectionism". The Chinese Premier also announced that Bosnia and Herzegovina can expect to soon receive a permit for exporting food to the large Chinese market, as well as a significant increase in investments by Chinese companies in the BiH economy.

Otherwise, within the 16+1 cooperation, China has so far invested about 29 billion euros in 16 countries, and as announced - a new and more significant momentum in investing in all countries covered by this agreement is to follow.
