Wife of the fallen pilot claims: Omer did not drink, he lived a soldier's life

Slavica Mehić, the wife of Serbian military pilot, Major Omer Mehić, is disappointed with the report on the causes of the helicopter crash.

She says she cannot believe that the crew of the military aircraft, led by her husband, is responsible for the helicopter crash on March 13 and the deaths of seven people, reports the Patria news agency.

Neither she nor her sons, 17-year-old David, a first-team player for the Serbian junior volleyball team, and 14-year-old Denis, have been officially informed yet. She says she doesn't watch television or read newspapers, and learns some information from friends and acquaintances.

- If alcohol was found in my husband's body, why didn't they announce it immediately after the autopsy, which was completed the day after the accident? - Slavica wonders. - Secondly, Omer did not drink, he lived a strict, soldier's life.
