SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Forest and low vegetation has been burning for days in the wider area of Banja Luka, in the Vrbanja settlement.
About 30 firefighters and forestry workers are engaged in extinguishing it, and due to the inaccessible terrain, the fire can only be extinguished with backpack pumps.
As stated for N1 by the Banja Luka Fire Brigade, households are not endangered, and the problem for the firefighters is that the fire, due to the soil structure, is largely underground.
Precisely because of this, the rain that fell on Sunday in the city area was of no significant help to the firefighters.
