Suspected terrorism: One person arrested in Buča Potok

As part of ongoing activities in the fight against violent extremism and terrorism, acting on the order of the Court of BiH and the Prosecutor's Office of BiH, police officers of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) searched a residential building in the Sarajevo area today.

- The search was conducted due to reasonable suspicion of committing the criminal offense under Article 201, paragraph (4) and paragraph (5), point i) of the Criminal Code of BiH „Terrorism“ with the aim of finding and temporarily seizing items that may serve as evidence in further proceedings. The activities were carried out in cooperation with members of the Intelligence and Security Agency of BiH.

One person was deprived of liberty and brought to the official premises of SIPA for criminal processing, after which, in accordance with the instructions of the acting prosecutor, a decision will be made on their further status.

SIPA, in cooperation with other security bodies in BiH and the world, is intensively continuing activities aimed at suppressing terrorism and all phenomena that could negatively affect the security situation in BiH.
