Sullivan: US will continue to support Ukraine

(Patria) - The US can deliver additional aid to Ukraine, and it will do so, said White House National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan.

- There is no alternative to America accepting responsibility and providing Ukraine with the resources that enable it to have artillery, air defense systems, and other necessary capabilities - Sullivan said.

Addressing a press conference together with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg in Brussels, Sullivan pointed out that it is important to do this as soon as possible.

He emphasized that the US will remain focused on this issue, adding that he believes it can and will deliver aid, reports Voice of America.

Stoltenberg assessed it as crucial for the US Congress to agree on the continuation of support for Kyiv in the near future.

- I am counting on all allies to fulfill their promises - Stoltenberg underlined.

Stoltenberg and Sullivan supported Kyiv at a time when Republicans in Congress are blocking the adoption of a legislative proposal for the continuation of American aid to Ukraine.

Almost two years have passed since the Russian invasion of Ukraine, during which Kyiv has been supported by many NATO member states, especially the US.
