Suljagić: It is very likely at this moment that the attack in Rajlovac was an act of terrorism

Emir Suljagić, Deputy Minister of Defence of BiH Marine Pendeš, has been involved in all activities since last night, after Enes Omeragić killed two members of the Armed Forces near the Rajlovac barracks, writes the Patria News Agency.

He addressed the public on social networks this morning, stating his position, which Patria conveys in its entirety.

- When the police station in Bugojno was attacked, one member of the BiH State Parliament called the perpetrator a former rocker. The first thing we learned last night about the attacker of the BiH Armed Forces members was that he was a former drug addict. The real name for them is terrorists, the real name for the problems we face is terrorism.

It is very likely at this moment that the attack committed last night in Rajlovac was an act of terrorism. I will not discuss now and here what I consider to be failures in the work of law enforcement agencies that led to this. I will also not discuss now how our boys would have had a better chance of defending themselves in Afghanistan than in their own country, on their own doorstep.

Now I want to say that this country has a problem with terrorism and that it is high time that we, as a society, decide which side of the line we want to be on in this global war against terrorism. Finally, I also want to express my condolences to the families of the murdered soldiers. The shot at those two is a shot at the possibility of living together in Bosnia and Herzegovina – says Suljagić.
