Suljagić: DF will not allow individuals from SDA to derail our EU and NATO path

Emir Suljagić, member of the Presidency of the Democratic Front, says that his party, as part of the "Domovina" coalition, will not allow such a noble and effective idea to fall apart, nor for the results achieved by pro-Bosniak oriented parties gathered around "Domovina" in these elections to be ignored for the sake of a few ministerial positions, writes the BiH news agency Patria.

-When I read that Ramiz Salkić, who consulted with Senad Bratić and Dodik about the mandate-holder for the formation of the RS Government, invoked some kind of agreement with Vinko Jakić, as some kind of "Domovina" coordinator, I was appalled. Jakić is not a coordinator. He is just a member of the "Domovina" negotiation team that we formed. The team has one representative from each party, and Sadik Ahmetović leads the team. And it is not problematic that they went for consultations, because we all knew about it, and they do not commit anyone to anything. But negotiating ministerial positions with a regime that has pursued policies bordering on apartheid all these years is unacceptable to us, Suljagić explained to Patria.

It is obvious that the "local branch of SDA" has been negotiating ministerial positions on its own, he says, without considering the agreement signed at the state level with the Alliance for Change.

-DF signed an agreement with SDA and the Alliance for Change, and there are no Dodik's ministerial seats in the RS Government that will call that into question now. I think the SDA leadership will have enough wisdom to stop their local members and explain to them that they cannot play a little with Dodik there to satisfy someone's "bottoms", and then play a little with the Alliance for Change at the state level. Should we, because of these individuals from SDA, derail our country's EU and NATO path, Suljagić asks.

He believes that in the end, none of this will come to pass, that SDA will show that it is consistent with the agreement with DF and the Alliance for Change, and that "Domovina" will abstain during the vote in the National Assembly of the RS for the new RS Government.
