Suljagić: Čavara is pushing the FBiH economy into complete chaos

I call on the President of the Federation of BiH to read the Law on Business Companies once again, before he takes responsibility for pushing the economy of the Federation into complete chaos, said member of the Presidency of the Democratic Front Emir Suljagić.

Suljagić reacted to the statement of Marinko Čavara, who said that he will "prevent the arbitrariness of DF ministers who are preventing the implementation of joint decisions and policies of the FBiH Government, as well as the programmatic principles that were agreed upon to establish a parliamentary majority in the FBiH".

- No one's arbitrariness in managing the property of the FBiH can be allowed, or such arbitrariness that existed in the past, said Čavara.

HDZ ministers, on the orders of HDZ leader Dragan Čović, will boycott the FBiH Government sessions until further notice, as long as the Decision to revoke the possibility for line ministers to manage state companies, which would transfer everything to the jurisdiction of the FBiH Government, is not on the agenda.

In that case, as Čović planned, with the votes of HDZ and SDA ministers, they could outvote the DF ministers, who oppose further divisions into exclusively Bosniak and Croatian property in the FBiH.

- I call on Čavara to go to the register of the Securities Commission and check who is registered as the owner of public companies there. He will see that these are the line ministries, emphasizes Suljagić for the Patria News Agency and adds:  

- Where they need it, as is the case with HT Eronet or BH Telecom, then no government decision is needed, and where it does not suit them, as is the case with the Ministry of Energy, Industry and Mining, then the Government should make decisions on who will be appointed to management positions.  

The DF has been clear on this issue from day one, and Suljagić emphasizes that all people who are in office must and should, unless they have violated the law, remain in leading positions until the end of their mandate, and where their mandate has expired, they should be elected through a competition.

- Unlike Čavara, we do not intend to fight battles from 2011, nor should the citizens of the Federation suffer them. This is a new majority, and it is the result of an agreement that in no way envisages the illegal removal of management, and which does not fit into the political platform on the basis of which this coalition was formed, says Suljagić.
