Two Czech tourists were seriously injured yesterday in the afternoon hours following a collision between a jet ski and a small rubber boat in the waters off the island of Korčula, the Ministry of Maritime Affairs, Transport and Infrastructure announced, reports the Patria news agency.
At 4:10 p.m., near the shore of the village of Prižba, it was determined that a collision occurred between a small recreational sports vessel of the Jet Ski type, operated by a Croatian citizen, and a small rubber boat with two crew members, Czech nationals, who sustained serious bodily injuries in this accident.
Immediately after the accident, they were transported to the shore where they were taken over for further medical treatment by employees of the Vela Luka Emergency Medical Service, the statement said. An investigation is being conducted by employees of the Vela Luka Port Authority and the Maritime Police, reports Index.
