Car and ambulance collide, female patient dies

One person died and four were injured in a collision between an ambulance and a Renault car on the Sombor road in Apatin, Belgrade media reported, Patria reports.

The deceased is a woman (1938) who was in the ambulance at the time of the collision, RTS writes.

According to unofficial information, the patient was in serious condition before the accident, and an autopsy has been ordered to confirm the exact cause of death, media reports.

The driver of the ambulance, a nurse and a doctor sustained serious injuries in the collision and were hospitalised at the “Dr Radivoj Simonović” hospital in Sombor, while the driver of the Renault received medical assistance at the Apatin Health Centre.

The Apatin-Sombor road was blocked for several hours due to the accident, media report.
