Zenica Court Sells Property of Autoceste FBiH Director Due to Million-Mark Tax Debts

The Municipal Court in Zenica has scheduled a public sale of the property of the construction company in bankruptcy “NBI ĆURIĆ” d.o.o. Žepče, for March 30, due to million-mark tax debts incurred by this company towards the state, writes Patria.

The Indirect Taxation Authority of BiH published a list of the largest VAT debtors in 2014. The company “NBI ĆURIĆ” was among the five largest debtors. According to data from the ITA, the debt of “NBI ĆURIĆ” for VAT in 2014 amounted to more than 6 million KM.

The company “NBI ĆURIĆ” is owned by Ivica Ćurić, the current director for economic and financial affairs of JP “Autoceste Federacije BiH“. After the collapse of his private business, Ćurić was appointed director of this public company by HDZ BiH in February 2016.

The value of the property of Ćurić’s company, which the Zenica court will sell at the end of March, is estimated at slightly more than 17 million KM, writes Patria.
