Brčko Court: Mensur Peljto Acquitted of War Crimes Charges

The Basic Court of Brčko District of BiH today delivered a verdict acquitting Mensur Peljto of charges of committing the criminal offense of war crimes against prisoners of war and war crimes against the civilian population, writes the Patria News Agency.

At the same time, the Court issued a decision lifting the restrictive measures against the accused, which were imposed by a decision dated 22.07.2014, as they are no longer necessary following the acquittal verdict.

Parties have the right to appeal the aforementioned verdict to the Appellate Court of Brčko District of BiH, in accordance with the law. - it is stated in the press release of the Basic Court of Brčko District of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
