Court of BiH: Eight members of the RS Army acquitted of charges for war crimes against Bosniaks in Rogatica

After the conclusion of the main trial, the panel of Section I for War Crimes of the Court of BiH rendered a first-instance verdict acquitting the accused Radomir Marković, Mile Kušić, Dragan Božović, Saša Perković, Radomir Gluhović, Pero Radović, Ilija Vukašinović and Miloš Vukašinović of the charge of committing the criminal offense of crimes against humanity, the Court of BiH announced, as reported by the Patria news agency.

The accused were acquitted of the charge that, during the armed conflict in BiH, as part of a widespread and systematic attack carried out by the army and police of the „Serb Republic of BiH“ in the period from April to the end of September 1992, directed against the civilian non-Serb population in the area of Rogatica municipality, knowing of such an attack and that their actions constituted part of that attack, they committed the murder of the civilian Bosniak population.

The accused were fully acquitted of the costs of the criminal proceedings, the Court of BiH announced.
