Court of BiH asks State Prosecutor's Office to shed light on who sent death threats to judges

The Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina sent a letter to the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina regarding death threats that were sent to the President of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and other judges and heads of judicial institutions at the state level in the past two months (July and August).

The letter expressed concern over the fact that this criminal offense has not yet been clarified, although more than a month has passed since its commission. The Court reminds that this criminal offense threatens not only the personal safety of judicial office holders as individuals, but also the overall security situation which is reflected in the entire judiciary. In this regard, the letter states that it is necessary for the circumstances of the case to be finally clarified in order to discover and sanction the perpetrator of this criminal offense and to re-establish a safe and stable environment for the unimpeded functioning of the judiciary.

The Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina was asked to provide the Court with information on the stage of the investigation of the case opened by the Prosecutor's Office regarding the incriminating event.
