The Court of BiH has ordered one-month detention for eight individuals arrested in the "Rez" operation, following a hearing held this morning, Rusmir Karkin, attorney for Elvir Muratović, confirmed to the Patria agency.
Namely, the BiH Prosecutor's Office claims that the arrested individuals were planning a terrorist attack for New Year's, which was supposed to result in 100 deaths, including two police officers. Prosecutor Dubravko Čampara stated that the defense has not received the evidence, as it could jeopardize the continuation of the investigation.
Čampara also stated that the Court has received a series of reports from the Directorate for Coordination of Police Bodies of BiH (DKPT) and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Sarajevo Canton (MUP KS), as well as a statement from a protected witness, and that based on this, the Court should order one-month detention for all 8 suspects.
