(Patria) - The Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina has ordered a one-month detention for Zdravko Šagolj, a general of the Croatian Defence Council (HVO) arrested for cocaine smuggling for the Serbian mafia.
Šagolj is linked to the smuggling of half a ton of cocaine from South America, which was seized in 2021 in Ploče.
We recall that SIPA officers conducted a large-scale operation at several locations against international drug smugglers several days ago.
The operation took place in several countries and multiple individuals were arrested.
Šagolj was also arrested in April this year during a SIPA operation codenamed 'Paravan'.
At that time, the operation was carried out in the areas of Mostar, Međugorje and Konjic, and Nedjeljko Dodig and Haris Alikadić were also arrested.
