Court of BiH: Muzafer Čeligija sentenced to one year in prison for evading almost 140,000 KM in taxes

(Patria) - The Court of BiH rendered and publicly announced a first-instance verdict by which the accused director of the company "Moto Turs" d.o.o. Sarajevo, Muzafer Čeligija, was found guilty of tax evasion or fraud and sentenced to one year in prison.

At the same time, the property benefit obtained by the accused Čeligija through the commission of the criminal offense in the amount of 139,491.15 KM will be confiscated, which amount includes the sum of 2,000 KM that the accused has already paid into the BiH budget.

The remaining amount of 137,491.15 KM is to be paid by the accused into the budget of Bosnia and Herzegovina within eight months from the date the verdict becomes legally binding.

An appeal against this verdict can be filed with the Appellate Division of the Court within 15 days of receiving the written copy of the verdict, the Court of BiH announced.
