Court of BiH imposes the largest sentence for economic crime to date

Mlađen Kekerović was sentenced for economic and financial crime to 14.5 years in prison, along with confiscation of property gain in the amount of 3.9 million KM, as well as real estate.

The Prosecutor's Office of BiH welcomes the first-instance verdict in this case, noting that this is the largest ever sentence imposed in Bosnia and Herzegovina in cases of financial and economic crime.

In this case, sentences were also imposed for two legal entities, as well as the punitive measure of dissolution of one legal entity.
Earlier, in the case of Kekerović et al., other defendants were sentenced to prison terms ranging from one to seven years, as well as suspended sentences based on plea agreements, NAP reports.
