On Saturday, October 8, at 8 PM at Chamber Theatre 55 in Sarajevo, the play titled The Birds' Concert, based on the text by Dževad Karahasan, will be performed, writes the Patria News Agency.
The text is written as a kind of parody in which the author, in a very refined way, mocks human vanity, the desire for power, as well as the very core of our humanity, which, stripped bare and exposed, remains empty, vain, and self-centered.
At the 30th Theatre Encounters of BiH in Brčko, the play won the following awards:
Tatjana Šojić – Grand Prix of the Encounters for Best Female Role, Adisa Vatreš – award for costume, and Dževad Karahasan – award for the best drama text by a Bosnian-Herzegovinian contemporary writer.
The play is directed by Aleš Kurt, and the dramaturge is Vedran Fajković. The roles are played by: Tanja Šojić, Mirsad Tuka, Senad Alihodžić, Amar Selimović, and Aida Bukva.
