Agency for Medicines and Medical Devices of BiH Expert Council to Discuss Salary Increase Proposal

(Patria) - The Expert Council of the Agency for Medicines and Medical Devices of BiH, led by Vedran Marčinko, will hold a session tomorrow, March 27, where a discussion on the Proposal for a decision on increasing employee salaries is expected. The proposal was drafted in cooperation with the Minister of Civil Affairs of BiH, Adil Osmanović, and the authorized service of the ministry.

The President of the Trade Union of the Agency for Medicines and Medical Devices of BiH, Ramo Rustemović, confirmed that the demands of this trade union for a salary increase have been considered and a relevant proposal for a decision has been drafted, which the Expert Council should consider next week. He specifically expressed gratitude to the minister, as well as to the ministry officials who worked on the proposal.

The Trade Union of the Agency for Medicines and Medical Devices of BiH has long been seeking serious consideration for salary increases for all employees of this institution. Earlier, the trade union pointed out that this agency generates approximately 12 million KM annually for the budget.

"The financial status of the employees is very poor, humiliating, and the worst when we consider all other healthcare workers at the BiH level. The Agency is mainly composed of healthcare workers, doctors, pharmacists, laboratory technicians, and other administrative staff who are qualified to work in this very important agency.

As the Agency's Trade Union, we have initiated a proposal to find a solution for increasing the salaries of all employees in the Agency, together with the Ministry of Civil Affairs of BiH, led by Adil Osmanović, and the Director of the Agency, Aleksandar Zolak," says Rustemović, expecting the Expert Council to make the right decision.
