Last night at two hours past midnight, a serious traffic accident occurred near Srebrenik in which 42-year-old A.U. from Srebrenik died, while three people were seriously injured, writes the Patria news agency.
Due to inappropriate speed, the driver of the Mercedes, M.M. (42) from Srebrenik, veered off the road and hit a concrete yard fence.
The car bounced off the wall and also hit a Golf 2 driven by K.S. (22).
M.M., the driver of the Mercedes, and his passengers E.U. (41) and R.M. (42) were taken to the emergency department of the Srebrenik Health Center.
The passenger A.U. remained trapped in the crushed vehicle, from which firefighters from Srebrenik extracted him by cutting through sheet metal. The duty doctor at the Srebrenik Health Center pronounced him dead.
The driver of the Mercedes and two passengers were transferred to the University Clinical Center Tuzla, where they are being treated.
The police have not yet released official data on the causes of the accident.
