A car with Croatian license plates carrying five passengers plunged this morning around 10 AM from the M-17 highway near the Bijela bridge between Mostar and Jablanica, ending up in the Neretva River. There were five people in the car, and only one young man managed to swim out.
Ljudevit Marić, spokesperson for the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Herzegovina-Neretva Canton, confirmed that it was a Skoda Fabia with license plates from Vinkovci.
The vehicle was located at a depth of 13 meters, and the arrival of the duty prosecutor at the scene, as well as the retrieval of the vehicle, is awaited.
There were two young women and three young men in the car.
